in all of tech, there is a trend this year and last where the technology is pretty damn good, so they are saving money by tweaking the stuff we have because it does the job fine.

I think the 360 could be peaking as far as performance and pushing graphics out like Heavy Rain mostly due to disk size and its age. Though its player base and Community haven't I think they will be looking towards a new console in the near future because the only shread of hope for the ps3 is to gain users after the xbox has peaked due to the more disk space and graphixxxxx
its hard to see any company get chopped up, hopefully something good will come out of it if bought up by a bigger publisher, or they will be bought as a whole and keep doing what they do.

I didn't play a lot of Dead Space, my accuracy with sticks its pretty bad with 3rd person shooters, But what I did play of the game the horror and gore was sweet!

2008 was very interesting, no clear game of the year for the first time in maaany years, and the rise of the casual gamer was powerful.
Another thing i think is key to the wii is that even though the x box udercuts the price with the arcade the Wii has established mind share, the same way Google and Walmart have they might not be the best but as long as everyone thinks they are they will be on top.
Yea there has been an increase in the older gamers, thats a good thing in my eyes I think everyone should embrace technology while they are on earth, one of the many amazing things.
The Wii is huge but it will end up ending its self, the more people you get hooked on gaming the faster they will realize that the Wii is just not up to snuff for anything past casual gaming. When this generation of casual goes hardcore MS and Sony will win in the end.
